Privacy Policy
open sky hasn't launched yet. This policy describes how the app will handle information once it does.
This policy covers the open sky app and this website. open sky helps creators and brands find each other, work together, and agree on deals.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.
- Creator profiles: display name, handle, bio, city and state, platforms and follower counts, average views, audience age ranges, the content you make and want to make, interests, brand categories you'd like to work with or won't promote, compensation preferences, minimum rate, and experience.
- Brand profiles: business name, industry, business type, team size, website, description, city and state, marketing goals, content preferences, budget and views goals, target audience, and timing.
- What you create: posts, comments, likes, messages, deal terms, links to work you deliver, reports, and blocks.
Information created as you use open sky
- Matching results: similarity scores between creators, the network you belong to, fit scores between creators and brands, and crew invitations. These are calculated from profile answers.
- Your growth plan: if you add Instagram or TikTok handles, we send them to a licensed creator-data provider to find public creators similar to you, their brand collaborations, and their best-performing public videos. Your city is sent to OpenStreetMap to rank nearby brands and find local businesses.
- Invite emails: when a creator invites a business to open sky by email, the email shows the creator's name, and replies go to the creator's email address. Businesses can unsubscribe from these emails with the link in each one.
- Activity needed to run the service: the crews you're in, deals and their status, friend connections, and which messages you've read.
What we don't collect
open sky doesn't collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. The app has no third-party analytics or advertising tools, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use information
- To run the app: showing similar creators, networks, and brands that fit, building crews, and handling messages, deals, and payouts.
- To keep people safe: reviewing reports and enforcing our Terms of Use.
- To answer support requests and meet legal obligations.
We don't use your information to target ads.
What other people can see
- Your public profile: name, handle, city and state, bio, platforms and follower counts, the content you make, interests, and the kinds of brands you want to work with. Brand profiles show business details, goals, and the content the brand is looking for.
- Posts and comments are visible to creators in the community. Messages are visible to the people in that conversation.
- Your email, password, minimum rate, and a brand's budget are never shown to other users.
How we share information
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that host and operate open sky for us, such as cloud hosting, our creator-data and transcription providers, an AI provider that drafts video ideas, and, once payments launch, a payment processor, under contracts that limit how they use it. We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Payments
When payments launch, a third-party payment processor will handle card and bank details. open sky won't store full card or bank account numbers.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account in the app from Profile, Delete account. That removes your profile, posts, comments, likes, and friend connections, takes you out of conversations and networks, and cancels pending invitations. Records of deals that were already agreed stay in a de-identified form, shown as "Deleted user", so other people's records and our financial records stay accurate. If you start signing up and choose Start over, the unfinished account is removed right away.
Security
Passwords are hashed and connections are encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use anywhere else.
Age requirement
open sky is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile at any time, block or report other users, and delete your account. To request a copy of your information or ask about this policy, contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and we'll tell you in the app before significant changes take effect.
